[REVIEW] COSRX Products that we’ve tried so far

Posted on

Hi! Who doesn’t know COSRX nowadays? This Korean brand is famous for its simple ingredients yet very effective. Some of their best selling items are the acne, pores and dry skin treatment. And it’s also famous for their simple and cute packaging. So now, we’re going to talk about CosRX products that we’ve tried, in time order.

COSRX One Step Original Clear Pad

(Ayu) First up is COSRX One Step Original Clear Pad. This jar has 70 pre-soaked exfoliating pads inside. Those pads gently wipe out excess oil and keep the complexion clear, refined, and well-balanced. This is already my third jar. It is very effective for battling acne. Every time I had a breakout, I always use this to exfoliate my face and my acne disappeared faster. I also share this product with my sister, she’s 18 years old and had worse acne problem than me. This product also helps her clear out her skin from acne as well. This is very recommended exfoliator for anyone who has acne problems with any skin types.

Their key ingredients are Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water 85.92% and Betaine Salicylate 1% that works as acne-fighting ingredients. Their product application is very easy too, I just swipe the embossed side pad on my face first and then change to the plain side. After using this pad, usually, I don’t add any more treatment except moisturizer.

This product price is around USD 20 or IDR 200k. Not too expensive, but not cheap either.

Ingredients : Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine Salicylate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate

COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

(Putri) I have quite many blackheads, especially on my nose. This product contains 4% natural BHA component that gently eliminates blackheads and dead skin cells. They claim that it effectively penetrates into the skin and cleans up clogged pores. It also helps skin to rebuild its moisture shield.

I usually use it at night using a cotton pad. I don’t really use this product often, it’s only when I’m overflowed with blackheads. The result was not instant, I have to wait for several days to see the results. It does reduce my blackheads but didn’t erase it all. In conclusion, I’m not going to repurchase this. However, I think it might work for other skin condition.

This product key ingredients are also Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water 67.80% and Betaine Salicylate (BHA) 4.00%. This a BHA product, so it is not recommended to use with any other highly concentrated AHA, BHA or Vitamin C products. This product price is around USD 20 or IDR 200k.

Ingredients : Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Butylene Glycol, Betaine Salicylate, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arginine, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol.

COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

(Ayu) This is my current facial wash: COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. It’s a gentle cleanser with low pH (5.0 – 6.0) formula which is very mild even for sensitive skin. This cleanser contains tea-tree oil to control oily skin and natural BHA to refine skin texture.

I usually use this cleanser as the first or second cleanser, twice a day (morning and night). This product has been very good to me. It didn’t dry out my skin yet cleanse very well. The price is also very affordable, it cost around IDR 100k or USD 10. This 150 ml gel cleanser lasted for 5 months! It’s great, isn’t it?

I don’t have any bad comment for this product, so super thumbs up for COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser!

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

(Ayu) I have been using pimple patch for years, but I just found out about the COSRX one only earlier this year. I usually use Nexcare acne patch, cause it’s the only one available at my local drugstore. But now, I can get COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch at several cosmetic online stores. So I decided to try it.

This pimple patch consists of 24 patches with different sizes. The smallest one is the 7mm diameter, middle one 10mm and the biggest one is 12 mm. The packaging has ziplock to make it easier to store and kept clean.

My thought: I like this better than the Nexcare one! The patches are thinner and the sizes are better too. It slightly looks invisible when I wear it. I even use it under makeup sometimes to cover my acne. I usually use it at night and take it off on the next morning. And the patch will absorb most of the ‘white liquid’ from my pimple. After that, I clean the remaining sebum then I use acne spot treatment and just let it dry

Ingredients : Cellulose Gum, Styrene Isoprene Styrene Block Copolymer, Polyisobutylene, Petroleum Resin, Polyurethane Film, Liquid Paraffin, Tetrakis Methane.

That’s it for all-COSRX review. Do you spot any of your favorites here?

Thanks for reading! See you 🙂
