SENSATIA BOTANICALS BODY LOTIONS

Posted on

Hello everyone! It’s Ayu, again. One of the reasons I’ve decided to make twoskintocare is to share and look for information about Eczema. I’ve been suffering from Eczema this year, worst than before. My first Eczema rash occurred around 4 years ago. That time, I went to a dermatologist and everything went back to normal. And then these past one year, it occurs again, more frequent, worse itchy and disturbing. My guess is, my hormone is not stable since I got married 2 years ago. It affects my skin allergy. So, last year I went to a dermatologist but it only got better for a while. The most important thing about Eczema is to prevent it, by keeping my skin hydrated and moisturized. The prescribed lotion didn’t go well with me, therefore I started looking for body moisturizer on my own.

The first one that prescribed to me was Physiogel Body Lotion. It does work for me until early this year. My skin gets really dry and the lotion wasn’t moisturizing enough. I started changing my lotion. I tried St Ives Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Lotion and Natural Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. This lotion is very moisturizing, but it contains a lot of fragrance that irritates my skin. For Coconut Oil, it’s a very nice moisturizing oil but absorbed very slowly. I still using the Coconut Oil but only at night. I started shifting to body cream, that’s the time I found Kamill skin cream. But then, I got bored with Kamill because it’s scentless. I still use Kamill but only at areas that are very dry, such as my entire legs. For arms, I can still use less-moisturizing lotion, that’s why I bought these Sensatia Botanicals Lotion.

I’ve been wanting to try their lotion, and then they had a big sale online so we just bought some of their lotions. I think these items will be discontinued since they just release a new body lotion with a new formula which I also want to try later.

Packaging

These lotions came in a 300 ml plastic bottle. I actually love their packaging, it’s simple but chic. The bottle has a plastic cap, but I wished they came in a pump so I don’t have to squish the bottle to get lotion.

First one is Lemongrass Tart Body Lotion. This is my favorite one, so does Putri ! It smells like fresh lemongrass with a hint of sweet flavor and a scent of grapefruit. All of the body lotions variants have the same texture and consistency, the only difference is their scent.

Here are the full ingredients : Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cetearyl Glucoside & Sorbitan Olivate, Cetyl Alcohol, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Sodium Citrate, Cymbopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass) Oil, Citral, Benzyl Alcohol & Benzoic Acid & Dehydroacetic Acid, Limonene, Xanthomonas Campestris (Xantham) Gum, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefuit) Oil, Citric Acid, Tocopherol (Vit E), Geraniol*, Linalool*, Citronellol*, Eugenol*. * Occurs naturally in essential oils.

Rosemary Mint Body Lotion, this one is Putri’s. One memorable comment from her is that the smell of this lotion makes her hungry. It smells like a roast beef seasoning, the strong fresh rosemary scent balanced by mint fragrance, yummy!

The last one is Seaside Citrus Body Lotion. This lotion makes me want to go to Bali right away! The fragrance is a mix of grapefruit, lavender, and rosemary. Very refreshing and does reminds me of the seaside.
